Friends of Mazarrón Animals would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has volunteered, fostered, donated & attended an event. As a small charity your support really makes a difference.

Last month we highlighted the wonderful fund raisers & supporters we have that are not based in Spain. This month the focus is on our local team of volunteers & fund raisers; the ones that foster week after week, transport the dogs mile upon mile, home-check, spend hours on the Internet on behalf of the animals, those who do the accounts, organise the events & set up the market each month. There are the crafters who donate items for sale at the market including jewellery, cakes, jam and homemade dog merchandise. It’s what makes our market stand out from the crowd. We also have our individual fund raisers like Annie Morton’s Pilates Group, Vanessa on her spin bike, Bob & his guided walks, plus our local musical supports like the Harlequin Rock Choir, DJ Stevie T, Hartley Hartley music and Bob & Lisa.  We really do appreciate everybody who has donated, supported & volunteered. Sadly, we can’t name every single one of you, but you are making a big difference, including the Costa Calida Chronicle who allow us this space to say a HUGE THANK YOU TO YOU ALL!

Our monthly market volunteers have something different for you this month; we are going nocturnal. While you spend your day on the beach or by the pool, the hardworking team of volunteers will be preparing the stalls, baking the cakes, hanging the bunting & setting the stage. It’s all hands on deck to get ready for the start. The market will be held on the evening of Saturday 13th July from 7pm-10pm with music by Don Limon & the Squeezers. I can’t imagine a better venue than overlooking the Mediterranean Sea with acoustic style covers of rock, soul, blues and everything in between. There will be delicious homemade pies, cakes & goodies to keep hunger at bay. Not to be missed!

On Saturday 20th July we have Joakin Lopez, musician & composer from Murcia demonstrating his unique musical style whilst overlooking the Mediterranean Sea at Yoga Shala in Isla Plana. Joakin began his musical career at an early age, experimenting with different musical styles and a variety of instruments. He spent long periods of time in eastern lands discovering their musical culture.  He participated in numerous ethnic musical projects based in India, Turkey and Greece and now begins his solo career through national territory presenting his new album, Agua.
