Friends of Mazarrón Animals would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has volunteered, fostered, donated & attended an event and to the Costa Cálida Chronicle for all the free publicity. As a small charity your support really makes a difference.

The past month has been super busy for the volunteers, fosterers & supporters of Friends of Mazarrón Animals. Dogs have been rescued, transported, neutered, but most importantly, given a second chance. 9 lucky dogs journeyed to the UK with AA Dog Rescue who find wonderful homes for these dogs. A big thank you goes out to the foster families who kept them safe until they were able to travel.

Continuing our work with the local hunters, more galgos have been rescued and are safe. With help from Dee and working in conjunction with Debbie from Royal Sighthound in America, we are hoping that some will find homes in the USA. We will keep you updated with their progress. This developing cooperation with the local community is a real positive step forward for the hunting dogs in our area.

It wasn’t all work for the FMA Team!  We spent a wonderful Sunday morning walking with our Spanish friends APROAMA, to highlight the plight of abandoned animals in the Mazarrón area. So well organised by Aproama, our fabulous doggies sported very smart bandanas and enjoyed some very tasty treats. It was a great turnout and lovely to meet new people, all who share a common goal.

We have some great events to start 2019.

Our Monthly Market will be held a little later than usual on Saturday 12th January. We have music by Tijuana Road & there will be lots of handmade items, home cooked goodies & bargains to be had. It’s back to normal for the February market which will be held on Saturday 2nd February with music from Hartley Hartley.

Don’t miss our Party Night with NigElvis on Saturday 19th January from 7.30pm until late at Café Buenavista, El Alamillio. It’s going to Rock & Roll!

Wednesday 16th January be prepared to be entertained by the talented Ms Wivanee & friends, Barrington, DJ Weeto & more. From 7pm until late at Café Buenavista, El Alamillio
