Next year when there will be only one rookie on the grid, Nicholas Latifi in the Williams replacing Kub and only one returnee Esteban Ocon in the Renault replacing Hül meaning all 20 seats are now occupied.

From the 1,262 laps available Ham was the only driver to complete them all (100%) ahead of the rookie Alb who completed 1,245 (98.65%) & Bot 1168 laps (97.66%). Ham also led the most laps during the 21 race season with 511 (40.5%) ahead of Lec with 246 (19.5%), Bot with 185 (14.7%), Vet 160 (12.7%), Ver 156 (12.4%) & Gio with 4 (0.3%).
There were 58 retirements during the 21 race season, 33 less than last year.
Gro gets the unwanted reward for the most DNF’s as he had 7; Haas & McLaren both had 10 DNF’s in the season. Ham was the only driver without a DNF.

Force India in 2018 being Racing Point for the 2019 season.
Ham and Mercedes collected their respective Championship trophies at the prize giving gala in Paris in December. Bot & Ver also collected trophies for their respective 2nd and 3rd places and Albon was announced as ‘Rookie of the year’.
Kub will be the reserve driver for Alfa Romeo this year and his sponsors PKN ORLEN will follow suit.
Roy Nissany, a 25 year old Israeli driver, will join Williams as a test driver for this coming season and 20 year old Dan Ticktum will be the team’s development driver.
Ver has extended his contract with Red Bull to drive for them until the end of 2023 and Lec has extended his with Ferrari until the end of 2024.
Only 4 teams to date have announced their launch dates for February; Ferrari 11th, Renault 12th, McLaren 13th & the newly named Alpha Tauri formally Toro Rosso on the 14th.
