Forget Me Not is a charity group run by volunteers for anyone with an illness that requires a carer to look after them. Sessions are held at the Social Centre Camposol B every Monday and Thursday from 10.15am-1.15pm providing respite to the carer. We have a trained nurse at every session as well as skilled and caring volunteers. We provide tea, coffee and biscuits, with a free lunch. We are open to both residents and non-residents and support holiday makers in need of some well-deserved respite on the provision of some basic information with regards to the individual’s specific needs and requirements.

Forget Me Not pride themselves to always be there for the carer, with help, advice or just a sympathetic ear.

April was a very busy time for us all at Forget Me Not:

We had a visit from the wonderful Hartley, who entertained us with his beautiful singing voice.

On April 5th we had a Quiz Night at The Diner, with an Easter themed raffle.

A huge thank you to Aaron and Michelle of the Black Bull for allowing Forget Me Not to sell raffle tickets and hold our Easter raffle draw on Good Friday in their bar. The volunteers enjoyed a fun couple of evenings selling raffle tickets, eating fish and chips and singing karaoke (albeit quite badly).

We completed lots of Easter themed craft activities, making decorative felt Easter eggs, cards and bunnies with non-stop glue and sequins.

The gentleman continue to play their competitive dominoes and we aim to do seated exercise sessions at least once a week.

On Friday 21st April we held another music event at Alley Palais with Sax and Pop classics from Byron G, Latino Jazz Singer Simone, Jack London as John Denver, Harlequin Rock choir plus 70’s and 80’s classics with Michelle Miles.

Monday 8th May Forget Me Not Coronation Party for King Charles II. Dress in red, white and blue. We will be putting up the bunting and waving our Union Jack Flags whilst enjoying some lovely party food and cake. It is expected to be a fun and memorable event for all involved.

Forget Me Not has had some car stickers printed to spread the word in the wider community of the service we provide for Camposol and surrounding areas.
