Forget Me Not will continue to meet at the Social Centre on Camposol B every Monday morning from 10.30am until 1.30pm. Our aim is to offer free respite care for carers of loved ones with Alzheimer’s/Dementia, or any other long term illness. Why not pop along and meet us on any Monday morning for a cup of tea and an informal chat? We will be happy to welcome you.
During our Monday meetings we will hold a stall at the rear of the Social Centre with Books, CDs, DVDs (all at 20 cents) and a clothing sale.
We encourage carers to enjoy some time to themselves, knowing that the person that they care for is in capable and qualified hands. Our service is free thanks to the generosity of many local individuals and groups that have donated and raised funds for Forget Me Not over the years. I would like to take this opportunity to give our thanks to each and every one of you.
This month we have special thanks to give once again to the Ex-Servicemen Association of Mazarrón District España for a generous donation of €700.
We would also like to thank the family of Edna Coombes for choosing Forget Me Not as one of the charities to receive €100 from donations collected at her funeral. Edna will be missed by us all at Forget Me Not. She was loved by all.
Part of our fundraising is our popular Jumble Sale which take place on the first Saturday of each month at the Social Centre. The next sale will be On Saturday 1st June from 10.15am-12.30pm. Come along and grab a bargain!
