July and August brought with them some of the hottest summer temperatures ever, but that didn’t stop the fun at Cavalli Foundation. One of the high spots was that the Hong Kong girls were back in town after an absence of almost 3 years due to the Covid crisis and travel restrictions. Lois and Livy Hamilton have grown into tall, gorgeous ‘horse people’ and there is now a third sister in the team, young Lia Hamilton, who is anxious to develop her horsemanship skills as her sisters did before her.

This year’s summer camps have been very successful, with lots of children wanting to join up and lots of new experiences with the animals in their environment.

Veronica discovered six black and white kittens hidden away by one of the feral cats that came to Cavalli to give birth. The mother cat had managed to feed three of the kittens well. The other three, however, were undernourished and so Veronica has become their surrogate mother, her plan being to socialize them and sterilize them for future adoption. In this way Cavalli Foundation takes another step towards becoming a cat rescue and rehoming centre. We would like to give a huge thank you to Brigit and Volker for adopting two kittens of our previous litter, Biscuit and Muffin.
