We have come to the end of the Year and what a Year!

First of all we are happy to say that we found the owners of the cat we rescued from a busy road in El Palmar. He is now home and safe.

Things are moving on with the project and the land. We are still deciding on the best distribution possible, but these upcoming months will see the beginning of the building work.

3º Solidarity Fair thanks to all our Cavalli Pupils and Volunteers
3º Solidarity Fair thanks to all our Cavalli Pupils and Volunteers

Last month we celebrated our 3rd Solidarity Fair when our pupils raised money in aid of animal welfare. They did so well, with over 300 visitors! We are so proud.

Reina and Vero did a talk in Alhama for associations and parents so they could learn about the benefits of Equine Therapy. There is still a lot of unawareness.

4 of our 10 kittens have now been sterilized, 2 of whom found adoption. We would like to give a huge thank you to our neighbour Patricia for helping us cover the costs.

We will continue with the rest of sterilisations next month when the rest of the kittens turn 6 months old.

A session with our Equine Dentist

Our dentist Sergio Soler came to visit 2 of our oldest horses. Ecolo will turn 32 in January so he needs check-ups every 6 months. Did you know that young horses have very long teeth, but as they get older they start to erode and even get to wear off completely making eating regular forage very difficult or practically impossible? At this point they need mushy food that they can swallow easily. This is why we have introduced festuca pellets to ensure they get enough protein, vitamins and fibre. We soak it together with the sugar beet and horse mix. They just love it.

We would like to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and thank everybody that has supported us during this year. Without our volunteers and your kind donations our mission would be very difficult to accomplish, so we are truly thankful.
