CGA Men’s Wednesday Group
On Wednesday February 8th 20 players took to the course in very cold conditions with a very fresh wind. Some players were unrecognizable due to all the clothing of hats, gloves and scarves worn. We played some holes from front tees. Play moved on very quickly and everyone was back in the clubhouse in less than 3½hrs.

1st – R Lawrenson, K Halliwell, I Butters & D Freer – 111 points.
2nd – D Deegan, D Noakes, M Lewis & G Allen – 103
There were three 2’s. The football card winner was G Allen. Thanks to Keith, Ian, Bob and Dave for the presentation.

New Captain
The New Captain of the Club de Golf, Alison Vasey, gave a very amusing inaugural speech at the Presentation Evening. She also stated the charity she was supporting in her year’s Captaincy was Friends of Mazarrón Animals. A raffle was held which raised €291. Alison has also nominated the bunker on the right hand side of Hole 3. If you go in this it is hoped you will pay your dues in the Club House in the tin provided.

Camposol Golf Association AGM
This was held at the Golf Club on 8th February. The existing Committee agreed to continue for the coming year: Chairman Lloyd Roberts, Secretary Trevor Andrew, Treasurer Dave Freer, Social Secretary Betty Roberts and newly co-opted member Keith Haliwell.
Trevor is now collecting membership money for this forthcoming year: €10 to join the Association and €5 for each year thereafter. New members are most welcome. Please email if you require further details.
