February Club de Golf Competition
The February competition at Camposol Club de Golf took place on the 13th and was sponsored by Currencies Direct. 54 players contested the competition, many of whom wore orange in appreciation of our sponsors and some excellent scores were posted.
The winner was Clive Porter with a score of 38pts winning on count-back from Lyndsey Tott also 38pts and 3rd place went to Adrian Turner with 35pts also on count-back.
The winners of the ‘Blind Pairs’ Competition were Eddie Harrison and Olly Hill with 63pts, 2nd was Alan Kilminster and Debbie Murray also with 63pts and 3rd was Rich Kingham and Dave Noakes with 61pts

There was also a presentation to Olly Hill, as she is returning to the UK and will be sorely missed by all her friends.

Camposol Golf Association AGM
The AGM took place on 6th February where the Committee agreed to stay on for another year with no changes and no volunteers for changes either.
Charity Quiz – 5th April at The Club House
MC’s are the excellent team of Phil and Ida Halton. Entrance 5€ payable on the door.
We would like as many people as possible to come along and support our charities FAST, MABS and Forget Me Not. I am sure you will have a fun night out whilst helping these very worthy causes who in turn help us so much. There will be an optional supper of Chilli/Chicken Curry with Rice for 5€ – also payable on the door. The signup Sheet will be put up in the Bar and the Gents’ Changing Room nearer the time. The last Quiz held in November with the aid of a raffle raised 1,090.13€. This combined with what is raised on 5th April will be donated to the 3 charities. Let’s hope with your help and support we can make this Quiz as profitable as the last one.
Away Day – El Valle on Monday 4th March
Discounted sponsorship of 12€ for CGA Members, or 40€ with a buggy. For non-members who are welcome to join us, the price will be 49€ plus 3€, if not a Federated Golfer. An optional meal at the Trevi Bar, Camposol is arranged on our return, to which partners and non-players are most welcome, 12€ for a 3 course meal including a glass of wine or beer.
Tuesday 14th May – Golf Match at Lorca
A meal will be sorted for on our return.
Monday 7th October – Golf Match at Altorreal
Thursday 31st May – CGA Summer Ball
This will again be held at the La Cumbre Hotel as everyone had such a great time there last year. The entertainment will be that fabulous Duo ‘Timewarp’ joining us all the way from Calpe.
Saturday 14th December – CGA Christmas Party
This has now been booked at the Playa Grande. Entertainment will be provided by Carolynn May
