Club de Golf April Competition

Despite half the world and his wife eloping to Lorca on Friday 31st, golfers were rewarded with a lovely day if a little windy early doors. There was obviously some cracking golf played with many scores in the mid to high thirties and all Nearest the Pin prizes were claimed.

Competition England v Rest of the World

Despite the early threat of showers, we all stayed dry. We had a very strong wind to thank for blowing the rain away. This caused some havoc on the golf course and resulted in a few broken glasses and bottles on the terrace.

Two teams of 24 players representing England and the Rest of The World competed in 12 Pairs Better Ball matches. Every match and every hole counted. The Rest of The World won 73 holes, beating England’s total of 72 holes. If you were representing the Rest of The World team and got totally spanked – that one hole you won made all the difference!
