Camposol Golf Association Away Days
The CGA had an Away Day at Lorca on Tuesday 14th April, with sponsorship for our Members, the price with a buggy was 30€ which is a great price for this popular challenging course. 32 Members took part, all of whom said the course was in excellent condition.
The Men’s Winner was Club Captain Neil Smith with an impressive 39 points. 2nd was Pete Stevenson and 3rd Simon Rowbotham.
The Ladies’ Winner was Vron Porter with Irene Langley 2nd.
On our return to Camposol a meal had been arranged at Camposol Golf Club and the chef Antoine did us proud. The 43 people who attended the meal said it was most enjoyable.
Another Away Day has been booked at Altorreal for Monday the 7th October. There will also be an optional meal planned for our return to Camposol.
CGA Charity Donations
The amount raised from the two CGA Charity Quizzes which took place on the 5th April and 2nd November 2018 was 1,950€, This will be divided into 650€ for each for our named charities: FAST, MABS and Forget Me Not. We would like to thank everyone who supported these events.
CGA Sponsorship
The CGA sponsored the May Club de Golf Competition, as we did last year. The Committee decided we would give Decathlon Vouchers for the main prizes.
Camposol Golf Association Summer Ball
The CGA’s Summer Ball on 31st May was again held at Hotel La Cumbre. Entertainment was that fabulous duo “Timewarp” all the way from Calpe. More next month.
Camposol Golf Association Christmas Party
This has now been booked at Hotel Playa Grande for 14th December. Entertainment will be provided by Carolynn May.
