Club de Golf January Competition
The January competition at Camposol Club de Golf took place on the 17th and was sponsored by Indalo Partners. 58 players contested the competition, which was played in unusually cold conditions.
Winner – Eddie Harrison – 36pts, winning on count-back.
2nd – Tony Down – 36 pts
3rd – Dennis Jones – 35pts
4th – Paqui Martinez – 34pts
5th – Colin Reid – 33pts on count-back from Geronimo Lopez also on 33pts

Camposol Golf Association AGM
This will take place on 6th February which hopefully will be well attended.
Charity Quiz
This will be on 5th April at The Club House. Master of Ceremonies are the excellent team of Phil and Ida Halton. Entrance fee 5€ payable on the door.
We would like as many people as possible to come along and support our Charities FAST, MABS and Forget Me Not. I am sure you will have a fun night out whilst helping these very worthy causes that in turn help us so much. There will be an optional supper of Chilli or Chicken Curry with Rice for 5€. The sign-up sheet will be put up in the bar and the gents’ changing room nearer the time.
The last Quiz held in November, with the aid of a raffle, raised 1,090.13€. This, combined with what is raised on 5th April, will be donated to the 3 Charities. Let us hope with your help and support we can make this Quiz as profitable as the last one.
Away Days
The next Away Day will be at El Valle on Monday 4th March, with discounted sponsorship of 12€ for CGA Members. The price will be 40€ with a buggy. For non-members who are welcome to join us, the price will be 49€ plus 3€, if not a Federated Golfer. We will organise a meal for when we return to Camposol to which partners and non-players are most welcome.
On Tuesday 14th May the CGA have planned a golf match at Lorca with a meal on our return to Camposol. We are also looking at other golf courses for an Away Day in October.
Summer Ball
The Summer Ball will be held at La Cumbre Hotel on 31st May as everyone had such a great time last year. The entertainment is still to be confirmed, but we are working on it.
Christmas Party
We are still looking at venues for this year’s Christmas Party as Hotel Costa, our favourite place for Celebrations in December, will be closed throughout 2019. If any of our members have any suggestions for any other event rooms please get in touch with your Committee.
