Camposol Golf Association Men’s Wednesday Group
As the weeks go by, the weather continues to dominate the golf scores with fast fairways, although the rough is getting a bit too long for some players, but good scores keep on coming in. The Competition on 28th June played from the yellow tees was 3 scores to count on the par 5s, two scores on par 4s and one to score on par 3s.

1st – M Lewis, T Colvin & S Parsons with 90 points
2nd – J Layland, A Wakefield & A Rae with 85
3rd – B Purkis, N Morgan & N Smith with 84

Wednesday Group’s Competition 5th July
The Competition on the day was 3 ball stroke play with one to score. There was excellent scoring on the day with bright breezy conditions, played off the yellow tees.

1st – B Purkis, J Layland & N Smith with 57 net, that makes it hat trick for Brian’s teams in the last 3 competitions.
2nd – N Morgan, D Plant & B McCluskey with 58 net C/B
3rd – E Toye, D Watts & M Lewis with 58

There were four 2s; E Toye, D Hopkins, N Smith & D. Griffiths
Football card winner again was J Layland with Aston Villa

CGA Ladies’ Tuesday Group
On a lovely sunny day at the end of June, Camposol Ladies’ Group hosted The Alamo Golf Society with teams of 8 four ball better ball match play Competition. The course was in excellent condition, with fabulous greens and the match was played in a great spirit. Camposol came out as winning on the day. Following the game, the ladies retired to the 19th hole for the prize giving and photos, followed by lunch and a few (!) bottles of Cava. The return match is scheduled for September at Hacienda del Alamo Resort and everyone is looking forward to it.
