D Community Group have put together 5 exciting events for 2023:
Sunday 30th April – community Paella-Themed Event on 30th April. This will replace the annual hog roast.
Friday 16th June – get your dancing shoes on for a Flamenco Evening.
Friday 28th July – culminating in Sector D favourite – Annual Street Party.
Wednesday 4th October – moving to Autumn 2023 the End of Summer Ball. Get your glad rags on and party the night away.
Friday 15th December – celebrate the festive holiday period with the Christmas Party.

Gardening Team
The Gardening Team is expanding to provide more services to residents on Camposol D with 3 teams up and running: a Projects Team, Gardening Team and Grounds Maintenance Team. The teams are led by a Coordinator and each team led by a Team Leader.
A vacancy has now arisen for the role of a volunteer Team Leader, Grounds Maintenance Team. The role involves leading, coordinating and planning work schedules, ensuring the quality of work carried out meets the correct specification. The person does not need any gardening experience, as full training will be given. However, experience of leading a team would be advantageous. An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Gardening Team adopting the maintenance of the seating, BBQ area and Petanca court at the bottom of Calle Esparraguera, at the top of Calle Frangulas. The plan is to refurbish the area and encourage more use of the Petanca court. A small team is planning the work and a Team Leader will shortly be taking responsibility for the ongoing operation. If you live in or around Sector D32, 34 and 35 and want to make a difference, then join the team to look after the area. The team Leader has gardening experience and will be supported by the other team leaders, with all volunteers formally trained.

Watch out for details of your opportunity to participate in the D Spring Clean event to be run in May. As the name suggests, we will be organising a morning where volunteers will carry out street cleaning, bin areas sweeping and litter picking. Watch this space and our website for more details.
