December already?!! Where has the year gone? Green Fingers have had a busy year and as it comes toward an end, we want to wish you all a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

November saw the team completing the annual Memorial Garden in memory of all who gave their lives for freedom and peace. Thank you to all the hundreds of people who liked or commented on the photos of the garden posted to various Facebook groups. Thank you especially to those who sponsored crosses in memory of family and loved ones who gave their lives in service of their country. Kevin Harper our vice Chairman handed over €329 to Carl Thomas, chairman of Murcia branch of the Royal British Legion.

Throughout November the Green Fingers team of volunteers has continued to work every Wednesday, trimming the trees and shrubs along the Welcome Wall, watering and trimming the palm trees. We were also asked by Age Concern to clear the pavement area in front of the Age Concern House on Avda de Los Covachos.

We are averaging about 12 volunteers every week, but we could always do with more. If you want to help, please contact John Osborne our chairman for information on osbornnej43@gmail.com
