Council Invests in Camposol
It is over a month since the new Dog Park opened behind the Business Centre and Farmacia on Sector A, near the children’s play area. It is comprised of a large, fully fenced-off site, with a sand base, (wear sensible shoes as the sand does stain, but brushes off), plus seating for the owners. It has loads of equipment including: dog training apparatus including a tunnel, seesaw, a water fountain and litter bins. You enter via a double gated lobby area, making the site safe for both owner and dog. As a new dog owner with a rescue dog who we are still training, it is great that we are able to take her to the dog park and safely let her off the lead to run and play fetch.
Work has also started on the proposed fitness area adjacent to the Football Pitch on Sector D with the area cleared and ready for construction to begin.
Both projects came about last year when the Town Council asked for projects to be submitted for funding. The above projects where identified and individuals wrote and submitted the successful bids. It is hoped that the Town Council runs the same funding process this year and in preparation for that we are asking residents to identify projects that could be submitted for funding; perhaps children’s play areas on Camposol B, C and D.
2025 and Camposol Free Community Sports assisted the individuals who submitted the bids with gathering votes for the proposals. Clinics where held on Commercial Centres A and B to help residents with the computerised voting system and handing out leaflets providing information on the projects. If you have an idea; visit the 2025 Facebook page to get more information on how you can write a bid. However, if the same rules apply as last year only individuals can submit a bid.

2025 has completed a new booklet on security, which will be published shortly. The booklet contains lots of useful advice to make your home safe and has been developed in conjunction with the neighbourhood security groups on Camposol. As usual see 2025 FaceBook page for details.
2025 focuses on identifying, coordinating and delivering step-change projects for the community. It is not another association, it is a team of volunteers who want Camposol to develop and flourish.
