The Maintenance Team has continued with street sweeping, watering and weeding, but we have concentrated this month on spraying the many large weeds which have appeared during the very hot weather with pet-friendly weed killer.
The Wednesday volunteers this month have collected a pallet of donated brick pavers and planted donated plants (thank you for all your donations!), weeded and completed trimming of the large palm trees along the Dual Carriageway, but much of their time has been spent watering. The very hot weather continues, so please think of your own plants and those planted near your casa by our volunteers; these temperatures and winds can be devastating.
We are appealing for new volunteers this month
Please join us on Wednesday mornings at 9am at the Welcome Wall, if you can spare a couple of hours – we offer a free breakfast and you can make new friends or get some muscle definition at the same time! There are lots of light jobs to do.

On 14th August we were joined by Carl Thomas broadcasting for Total Star Radio live from our bucket collection. Thanks to all the really kind people who donated to our bucket. Thanks also to members of our Maintenance Scheme and of course those who have worked on individual areas near their own homes.

Without your help and that of our volunteers, our sector would definitely not look as nice and it all makes a huge difference.
