Our Maintenance Team are still clearing, weeding and spraying all streets of ‘C’ North as usual, every Monday throughout the hotter months, but the phenomenal weed growth this year is making it a much longer job, so if we don’t get to your road as often during Summer, please bear with us; streets are done in strict rotation.

Our AGM last month brought a few changes:

Chairman for the last year, Graham Harris, who has also been a regular volunteer for many years, has unfortunately had to resign due to ill health. John Osborne was voted in as our Chairman once more and gave a vote of thanks to Graham for all his hard work. Other members of the committee remain the same. It would be great to have some new input each time we meet, so if you would like to join our friendly committee, please get in touch; we would love to hear from you.

A record bucket collection was announced during the presentation of the annual accounts and reflects all the hard work put in by our Team plus the volunteers – further details of the AGM can be found on our Facebook group.

The volunteers this month have been planting many donated plants, weeding extensively and yes; watering! This needs to continue as some plants are not yet established. If you would like to give any plants near your home or holiday home a drink, it would be really appreciated and if you can spare a couple of hours volunteering on a Wednesday morning, just join us at the Welcome Wall on the dual carriageway – breakfast butties are free!

Please support our social functions as they raise much needed funds: Our Street Party and BBQ was a great success. It was DJ Carl Thomas’ birthday and he gave us a fabulous show, complete with a birthday cake!
