Happy March everyone

Our new boy Oscar is settling in to his new life with us here at AAR . He’s underweight, but we can soon sort that. his hooves need doing, and the usual worming and vet check will be done .. other than that he’s a baby at around 20 months old, shocking that we are his 3rd home.. AND WE WILL BE HIS LAST. He’s also now been castrated and will soon be able to join the herd.

We attended the quiz night at The Diner on Camposol B, the proceeds raised by the raffle were donated in aid of our 101 donkeys. Many thanks to Jay and his team, the food was great and the atmosphere too. Well done guys, AND let’s not forget the quiz which was great, and guess who won?  Team AAR! I never win anything other than a donkey hahahaha .

Now this has been a long time coming … We have now gone live with our fabulous new website, we are so excited so please check it out and see what you think. We have all the details regarding our new working holiday scheme at the sanctuary, sponsor a donkey and updates of our latest rescues. We have more to add but we are getting there slowly.

There’s always so much to do with the donkeys, dogs, shops, paperwork , fundraising, not to mention internet  – the list is endless so if you would like to help in any way, then please speak to us, you may have some great ideas .

If you would like to donate to help our 101 donkeyss then we would be extremely grateful, and so would they. Every single cent goes towards the donkeys, no one is ever paid in AAR, everyone volunteers because they want to help.

As usual every Monday there will be someone (usually me!) in the car park on the roundabout of Sector B on Camposol where you can drop donations off from 11.30am-1.30pm. We are very visible with yellow panels on the side of our vans. Larger items can be collected by us by prior arrangement. Otherwise, items can be dropped off at either of our shops in Roldan or Mazarron between the hours of 10.30-1.30pm.
