Forthcoming Event – Luncheon Party at Club Playa Grande
We don’t have a specific date yet, but we are planning a fund-raising lunch party in July at the newly opened Club Playa Grande (formerly Copi Coy) in Puerto de Mazarrón. As soon as we have more details we will be advertising it on our Facebook site, Age Concern Costa Cálida, so please check there for updates and more news.
Help Needed
We are urgently looking for a new Volunteer Co-ordinator as well as Volunteer Drivers in the Camposol, Mazarrón Country Club and Condado de Alhama areas to help with GP and hospital visits for the increasing number of ageing clients on our books. This may only take a morning or so of your time now and again, as and when you are free to do so, but can be so important to those who can no longer drive due to ailing health or eyesight problems. Fuel expenses are reimbursed, but more importantly, getting to know our older, mostly independent neighbours who are just temporarily in need of help can be so rewarding. Do please think about joining our team, making new friends and going on our list of drivers by emailing us at ageconcerncostacalida@gmail.com or giving Isabel Stewart a call on 634 344 589. Isabel is waiting for your call.
Although all our regular monthly activitiesat our Drop in Centre have been put on hold, we are still here for advice and information, shopping and medicine collection, so give us a call if you need help. All our phone lines as listed below will be manned as usual. If you would like an in-person chat with one of our team, please feel free to drop in to our Drop in Centre which is open at present every Tuesday from 10am-1pm. Masks are compulsory.
