The spectacular views of Playa de El Mojón was the setting for the presentation of the 1st Edition of the Junior Mediterranean Surf Cup 2022 to be held on March 12 and 13 at Playa de la Mojonera.
Gaspar Miras, Mayor of Mazarrón explained in his speech: “We are here to present the first Mediterranean Surf Club. We are going to continue investing in the organization of these events, both with the Murcian Surfing Federation, with the General Directorate of Sports and with the Bahía Surf Club to become a regional and national benchmark for this sport.
Francisco Javier Sánchez, General Director of Sports, who also attended the presentation, pointed out the importance of showing our beaches. “This is a piece of the Costa Cálida that must be shown in which we are going to have regional, national and international championships and we want people to come to know what, for us, is the best land in the world.”
For his part, José María Cascales, President of the Bahía Surf Club, explained that hard work has been done to carry out this 1st Edition of the Mediterranean Junior Surf Cup 2022, which will be held on March 12 and 13, in which they will compete from 9am at La Mojonera Beach in the Male and Female categories under 16, 18 and 21.
