Do you remember Last of the Summer Wine; the hapless blokes and the strong women? It was gentle comedy at its best and Only Fools and Horses, especially the episode where Del Boy slides through the open bar hatch in his yuppie best. Classic! Oh and don’t forget Are You Being Served. The problem is that when I watch them on GOLD, I keep commenting ‘He’s dead now.  She’s dead now’.

I have just seen on Facebook: 5 things that do not help you in life.

1. Trying to please everyone.

2. Fearing change.

3. Living in the past.

4. Putting yourself down.

5. Overthinking.

Well, guess I do try to do number 1, but definitely not number 2. I don’t live in the past, but it has many sound lessons. Put myself down? Well yeah, sometimes when things go wrong. Overthinking – BINGO! That must be my numero uno problemo. So what! It keeps my mind active I guess.

Life goes on whatever we think. I have seen a report of an earthquake in Albetera (strength 4.3) and a comment “Earthquakes are the vibrations caused by rocks breaking under stress against an underground surface called a fault plane, while a tremor is an involuntary movement of earth surface caused by stress in the underground rocks. They are both signs of seismic movement within the earth.”

I feel a tremor some days; deep in my bowels. They say ‘A week is a long time in politics’. Yep, tell that to Boris who rears his ugly head at every opportunity. He thinks he’s a human earthquake – well public school and Oxford do that to some people! They can’t please all the people all the time, but many do live in the past.

Don’t bother worrying about 5 things that do not help you in life; get on with all the positives, saying “Well I woke up this morning” for a start.

I hang out in Calasparra, playing my drums, writing my books and holding services every Sunday morning at 11am in my wooden chapel. I meet people and listen, so if you have a problem, want to know more about this Christianity business, or even dare to try one of my uplifting services which cause the rocks to vibrate, you can contact me at or on 634 386 179

Have a go; it might stop me from overthinking …

‘Bye for now and God bless
