Phew!! Mad dogs and Englishmen!!

Wednesday 23rd July was a typical Spanish summer day, with a temperature at 7.30am of some 28ºC.

sdtm DSCN0403The 21 members and 2 guests who gathered at The Club House on Camposol Golf, knew they were in for a warm day. The first tee off was on number 10 at 8.30am which certainly helped to get round most of the course before it got into the mid-30º’s.

Not to be put off by the early start, or the weather, it was obvious from the comments made that several members were having a decent round. This proved to be correct when the cards were checked at the end and it was discovered that over half of the members had scored 30 or more points.

Whilst enjoying a glass of the amber nectar, the final classification was sorted and in joint 3rd place was Ian Dalley and John Taylor with a score of 33 points.
Second place went to Richard Dixon on 39 points.

The winner with a great score of 40 points was Stuart Boocock. (pictured)

The September meeting will on the 28th at Altorreal Golf. All members, new members and guests should register with the society secretary as soon as possible, as this is a very popular venue.

All members are reminded that a response to the recent email from the secretary is needed in order for the committee to formulate plans for next year.
