Trapped Shark on Mazarrón Beach
On Tuesday 16th August, emergency services released a shark into the sea after it became stuck on Bolnuevo Beach.

They managed to free the ‘blue shark’ or a Prionace Glauca Shark after it was washed onto the beach and was unable to get back into the water. It was towed out by boat to about 8 miles out to sea and was then set free.

Bolnuevo Erosion
Mazarrón City Council has asked the Regional Government for protection of the site Erosions Bolnuevo and declaring it a Natural Monument.

Manuel Páez Exhibits ‘Atavismos’ In Mazarrón Town Hall
The exhibition will last until September 30th. The exhibition, curated by Blas Miras, was opened by the Councillor for Culture, Pedro Martinez, who highlighted the quality of the exhibits.

Manuel Páez brings a selection of pictorial and sculptural works in which he combines classic and contemporary elements. From Murcia, Paez is a renowned artist who, despite his youth, has had numerous exhibitions and has participated in fairs such as ARCO or Art Madrid.

The exhibition is open Monday to Saturday from 10am-2pm and Monday to Friday from 6pm-9pm.

Poetry Recital “Mares De Papel”
Five poets, Jerónimo García Jorquera, Manuel Iglesias Hernández, Violeta Sáez, María Cruz Agüera and María Dolores Rodríguez López delighted a large audience with their performances in a relaxed and supportive environment for reflection, coinciding with the sunset and sea background.

New Course With Professional Catering Certificate
This will be held from October 4th to December 5th in the CIME Mazarrón from 9am-2pm. There will be 210 hours of lessons and 80 hours of practical training.

Municipal Initiatives Center Employment (CIME), under the Department of Employment, Training and Local Development, are offering a new course of hospitality with professional certification titled “Basic Restaurant and Bar Operations”.
