The Department of Tourism of the City of Mazarrón offers until the end of June seven new routes that invite you to know the history and beauty of the landscape of the Bay of Mazarrón. Next Saturday, June 9, there will be a family trekking route to the military battery of Castillitos. Of circular route, this will in total be 7 kilometres offering beautiful views from the cliffs of Cabo Tiñoso. The online seats for this visit have already been exhausted. Among the novelties for this month of June is the visit entitled “The City of the Dead: History and Tradition in the Cemetery of Mazarrón”. This free route will also be offered in English and is scheduled for June 9, 10, 17 and 23. The visit will give details of the municipal cemetery since it opened its doors in 1900, after the previous one closed. The history and the mining past of the municipality show for the enjoyment of the visitor in this interesting guided tour by the journalist Miguel Rubio. Also the Department has scheduled a guided tour to the Minas de Mazarrón on June 16 and a hiking route through the Sierra de La Perdiz on June 23.
