Bi-lingual Evangelical Church in Fuente Alamo.

When you look back on your life, how do you think you’ve done?

Do you sometimes feel that you’ve gone through all those years constantly trying to prove yourself; constantly trying to impress those around you, your family, your friends, your colleagues, your boss?

Maybe you have just being trying to prove yourself to you!

Have you spent far too much time doing things you didn’t really want to do just to gain favour; maybe working long hours or going to places you didn’t really enjoy just to keep in with the ‘in crowd’?

Sure, working hard and putting in long hours may help you to succeed, but it can leave a big hole in your life; an emptiness that no amount of hard work can fill.

To experience real, deep down satisfaction you must know that you are fulfilling God’s will for your life.

He loves you.

He has a purpose for you.

He only wants the best for you.

What can top that?

God sees us differently.  He doesn’t ask what kind of car you drove, but how many people you gave lifts to.

He won’t ask how big your house is, but how you treated your family.

He won’t ask about your designer clothes, but how many poor you helped to clothe.

He won’t ask how many friends you have, but how many people you were a friend to.

I’ll finish with a short story.

A four year old girl was watching her mum apply face cream.

What’s that?” she asked.

“It’s moisturiser” replied mum. “The lady in the shop said it would make me look beautiful.”

After pausing for thought, the toddler replied with the honesty that only small children have, “It isn’t working mummy, you should take it back.”

It’s a big mistake to focus on the outside and miss the inner qualities that God has given you.
