I am writing as Secretary for Revival Chorus, a newly formed group of people who love to sing, most of whom have been members of various other groups in the Camposol area over the years.  We formed our new group in October 2017 and were forunate enough to be asked to perform at four events leading up to Christmas.

Now the festive season is over, we are concentrating on learning a new repertoire of popular songs, old and new, but we will also be focusing on fundraising for MABS.  Our signature tune is a song called Sing for Life, written by James Kennedy and recorded by a choir from Cardiff, namely Tenovus, all of whom have met with cancer first hand and, thankfully, survived.

It is early days for us as a chorus, but we would welcome any new members wishing to join us.  Our Musical Director, Judith Phillips, is working hard to knock us into some kind of shape.  It is a challenge for us all, but we are enjoying it nevertheless.

If you wish to learn more about Revival Chorus please take a look at our Facebook Page, Revival Chorus Camposol where you will find information regarding our rehearsal times and some photos.  If you cannot access Facebook, we meet on a Wednesday afternoon 4pm-6pm, based in the back room at The Club House, Camposol C. Please feel free to drop by if you want to give us the ‘once over’ and perhaps even sign up.

On19th January we raised some funds for MABS by organising a January Sale.  It was a successful few hours and between family and friends we raised €136.92.  My thanks to everyone involved, at all levels.

In conjunction with MABS, we have a Street Party planned for Saturday 19th May on Camposol D.  Details will be posted shortly.  We chose the date way back in September of last year, but since then Prince Harry has decided to marry Megan Markle and the Cup Final will be taking place in the afternoon.  For most of us, this will be ‘armchair entertainment’, so why not come along to the Street Party from 6pm; stretch those legs, grab yourselves some food and dance the night away.  We will endeavour to introduce an Anglo/American slant to the occasion with bunting and flags, even including hot dogs, burgers and onions with plenty of ketchup!!   If you feel like joining us in fancy dress, you can do that too or just come as you are.  Tickets will be on sale very soon, but in the meantime look out for our posters.
