The money from the concert continues to arrive and the unclaimed raffle prizes are being auctioned so the final amount raised will not be known until the end of the year. We had a slight miscalculation that made us think that not all the money was available but it turned out to be a false alarm and we can assure everyone who contributed that every cent is being banked and as mentioned the grand total will be revealed as soon as the auction is completed.
Initial discussions are underway for another event in the spring and a so soon as we know so will you!
It is pleasing that the impetus of the CAFE concept is now gathering momentum with more and more individuals, businesses and entertainers all pledging money for this worthwhile cause, whose aim is to purchase a rapid response community ambulance based to the north of Mazarrón, but obviously to the advantage of all. If you want to help in any way by maybe having a coffee morning or a whip round in the pub or just by putting money in the collection tins it will be appreciated. One idea that is currently being considered is for a ‘Beautiful Garden’ competition on Camposol. More about this after Christmas.
