PALS have decided to obtain two more defibrillators and have them permanently based at Camposol. The specific information will be announced in the fullness of time as soon as we have the machines and the locations will be made public.
PALS exist to raise money to augment the requirements of the Health and emergency services in and around Mazarron and in recognition of the high input from the residents of Camposol have dedicated a sum equal to 40% of net receipts, held on deposit specifically to be used at the New Health Centre on Camposol after it is built and any shortfall on equipment identified by the doctors on site. Currently this deposit amounts to 15500Euros and is growing thanks to you, our supporters. We realise that times are hardening but PALS puts your money to human health and life saving use, so please continue to attend our events.
We have agreed to purchase a new jet ski for the 112 service in Mazarron, for inshore rescue use, but have decided not to place the order until next year for delivery in May and have indicated to the Ayuntamiento that we would like to see the new Camposol Health centre substantially under construction by that time. This month we have also agreed to purchase equipment for the Hydrotherapy unit at ASPADAM amounting to about 1000Euros. ASPADAM are not publicly funded and to augment their funds, are now offering private or group therapy courses for those with post operative or degenerative diseases, or those suffering from Parkinson's or spondilits for example. This must be a boon, as situated in Mazarron, this locally based facility can be accessed by phoning Alphonso on 670 044884 or 968 590587.
PALS have two more Rock and Roll nights around the Pool at Mariano's on 16th August and 13th September - just 12 Euros to include supper. Phone Sheila for tickets 968 138725. Bookings are also available for Halloween dance and the Christmas Ball on 7th December.

We also have the CAFÉ Concert Two on 4th October starting in the afternoon and well into the night at the Playa Grande Hotel - just 5 euros to hear the best entertainers in the area. Tickets from any member of PALS or the Lions or the Radio Station, who are the sponsors. We also require prizes for the raffle. Last years effort was the event of the autumn and this time we know it's the must see event of the year. We are limited on numbers and last year over 500 people attended so get those tickets quickly.
