The Department of Culture of the City of Mazarrón reschedules for this year a new free cycle of film workshops taught by the filmmaker Benito Rabal in the Town Hall. The activity, which sold out all its seats in its first edition of 2017, was presented recently. This new cycle includes five workshops that will lead to the production of a short film.
The first of the workshops entitled “Introduction to the world of cinema and interpretation” will take place on January 26 and 27 from 5pm-9pm on the first day and from 10am-2pm on the second day. There is a maximum of 20 places and the registration period is now open. The requests can be formulated in the email firstname.lastname@example.org
The second of the workshops will focus on the theme of the script, the third in the direction and production, the fourth in the interpretation and the fifth in the filming, putting into practice what was learnt
Both Pedro Martínez (Councillor for Culture) and Benito Rabal described these events as “very positive” and “offering a new alternative to the agenda of activities of the municipality.” Benito Rabal has been “very satisfied by the cultural commitment of the City of Mazarrón.” The filmmaker adds four decades of work in the world of celluloid along with major national and international names in cinematography and was awarded in turn the most important distinctions for his participation in several films and works.
