Mazarrón will once again offer a summer full of activities for all audiences. The acting Mayor of Mazarrón, Alicia Jiménez, has presented the programming that the different councils have prepared in order to offer a leisure agenda that both residents of Mazarrón and thousands of visitors to the Municipality can enjoy

This agenda includes 18 hiking trails, 18 cultural routes, 19 film screenings on the beach of La Isla, 30 nights of entertainment on the Paseo de Puerto de Mazarron and 45 days with children’s activities and sports on beaches with six daily proposals. The activities of children’s beaches will be developed on the Castellar from Monday to Friday from 11am-1pm and in Rihuete from Monday to Friday from 6-8pm. In terms of cultural and hiking routes, all the information is on the tourism website

The sports activities planned are pilates, functional training, body combat and aerobics with the following programming:

  • La Isla: 9:30am pilates
  • El Puerto: 11:00am functional training
  • La Reya: 12:15pm body combat
  • La Isla: 5:00 pm aerobics
  • El Puerto: 18:15 aerobics
  • La Reya: 7:30 pm pilates

Likewise, the Open Water Swim Channel will continue to be available at Playa del Puerto

In addition, the Municipality will have a specific offer in terms of adapted beaches. There are three beaches (Puerto, La Isla and La Reya) with their services adapted for use by people with some type of special functional need to enjoy bathing under equal conditions. Recognized services by ADEAC and FAMDIF include: reserved parking, adapted toilets, concrete walkways to the wet sand, shaded areas in the sand, amphibious chairs and walkers and assistance by the lifeguards. Schedules are as follows;

  • Playa del Puerto: Tuesday and Thursday to Sunday from 11:30am-7.30pm
  • La Isla: Wednesday to Sunday from 11.30am-7.30pm
  • La Reya: Monday and Thursday to Sunday from 11:30am-7.30pm

On these beaches, the user can make prior reservation of the facilities to ensure that they do not travel to the beach to find the support staff busy

For the next few months there will be plenty of great events such as the Rafael García Castillo Theatre Festival (July 7 to 12), the Piano Concert at the Bolnuevo Erosions (August 9). ), the Bahía de Los Libros Literary Meeting (August 17) and a new edition of the Musical Summers of the Villa de Mazarrón Story Contest, this year with Elvira Navarro as President of the jury

The Summer Carnival in the Paseo Marítimo (July 13) and the Solidarity Race in favor of the AECC in Bolnuevo (August 10) will be other highlights of a summer that will once again have Town Halls in Mazarrón and Casa del Mar in Puerto de Mazarrón as locations for a total of six scheduled exhibitions
