Hazy Summer Days
As always August has been a much quieter month in Mazarrón Bowls Club with no competitions as many people have visitors or have decided to return to a cooler climate for the summer.

With a colder than normal Spring and Summer arriving later than usual, it is now hoped that this weather will now last well into the Autumn (minus the winds!).

Our new members are very enthusiastic and showing great promise. They may even give a few of the longer serving members a run for their money for a place in the League Teams!! By the time this article goes to press, September will be with us and we will be in the throes of organising the League and Triples teams.
Firstly however, we will be holding an EGM in September to select a new Club Captain and Vice President. These positions require a total commitment to MBC as well as producing a heavy workload for the prospective candidates. We envisage, with the new Club Captain on Board, a training programme will start to improve and refine the game of the new and established members.

Mazarrón Bowls Club will still be holding roll-up sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings until further notice. Full details of times changes for the Autumn can be found on the website at www.mazarronbowlsclub.webs.com or from the Secretary, Sue Hattrell at mazarronbc@live.co.uk
