‘Mazarrón at Christmas’ is the title of the extensive programming prepared by the departments of Celebrations, Youth and Sports to celebrate the Christmas holidays with activities that will take place from Thursday 19 December to January 6.

Santa Claus visits Mazarrón on Saturday 21 with a musical performance and surprises that will also be held for free at 5pm in the municipal tent of the Town Hall Square. The next day (Sunday 22), Santa Claus will visit the Plaza Toneleros of Puerto de Mazarrón from 11am and there will be a ‘pirate party’ in which the little ones will have to “save” Christmas.

The young people, and anyone who wishes to share the festive atmosphere of these days, will also have their chance to have a good time on 24th, 25th and 31st in the marquee with the performance of DJs from 4pm.

In Puerto de Mazarrón, from December 26 to 28, Plaza Toneleros will have a Christmas market thanks to the collaboration of ACOMA, as well as children’s activities such as workshops, paintings and characters from 4pm-8pm and from January 30 until January 6, the same location will host the ice rink with hours from 11am-2pm and from 5pm-9pm.

On the last day of the year, Deportes has organized the I San Silvestre Familiar Solidaria for the benefit of Caritas in Mazarrón and Puerto in which registration will be with a donation of 2 kilos of food. This takes place from 10am and there will be prizes for the best individual, group and family costumes. To continue the party, the morning will hold events for little ones with jelly beans and activities.

On Friday, January 3, a delicious cookie and craft workshop will be held in the marquee of the Town Hall square from 5pm and on January 4 the same place will host, starting at 11am, the musical ‘Shert se va de marcha’’ In addition, that afternoon and after 5pm, the royal mailmen will pick up the children’s letters to deliver to the 3 Kings.

On day 5 the Three Kings arrive, both in Mazarrón and Puerto. It will be from 4pm in the afternoon from the fishing pier in the coastal town and from Mazarrón’s nursing home from 7pm. At the end of each of them, the traditional delivery of gifts to children will be made.

Finally, on January 6, the Auto de los Reyes Magos will be held from 11am around the church of San Andrés in Mazarrón, while in Cañada de Gallego there will be a chocolate at 10am. The morning will be followed by a parade with a living nativity scene, wise men and the “cuadrilla” of Las Balsicas, ending at 12 noon with a mass in the church of the district.
