The Cancer Support Group (Mabs) Mazarron would like to say a BIG thank you to everyone who supported their two fundraising events recently.
On March 28th they held a Table Top sale outside Pizerria Trevi selling new and used items which had been donated to raise funds. This event raised an amazing 552euros.
Then on 4th April the annual Mabs Spring Dance took place at Meson Marianos. More than 120 people enjoyed a meal and danced the night away to the fantastic sound of Barrington. Raffle prizes donated by local businesses and supporters helped raise a fantastic 1173 euros.
Mabs would like to thank the following businesses and supporters for their kind donations and support:-

A special thank you goes to Pizerria Trevi and Meson Marianos for allowing us to use your premises for our events and Globos Balloons for the wonderful decorations. Finally, well done to our Fund Raising team for their hard work in making sure these events went smoothly.
All monies raised will be used to continue the help and support being offered to local cancer patients and their families.

Race for Life
It's that time of year again and preparations are under way for the 2008 Race for Life. This year's race will take place on Sunday 26th October around the usual Camposol course.
In addition to the usual trophies, medals, certificates and 'goody bags' there will be 4 new trophies:-
1st male competitor under 16 years of age
1st female competitor under 16 years of age
1st competitor in fancy dress
1st team (4 or more competitors) in fancy dress
(All trophies and certificates have been donated by local banks and businesses).
Sponsorship and entry forms will be available shortly, further details will be published soon so keep a look out in the local press or listen out for information on Costa Callida Radio.
All monies raised will be donated to the Cancer Support Group Mabs (Mazarron) the local charity dedicated to helping local cancer patients and their families.
Marion and her team are looking forward to seeing all their regular friends and hopefully lots of new ones!
