Help and Support is just a phone call away.....
We are a registered charity offering confidential support and assistance to local people who have been diagnosed with or are being treated for cancer and their families. Our services are free to people living in the Mazarrón area.

As a charity we are totally dependant on donations from local residents and businesses to meet the costs of our services. We need 1,700 Euros every month to ensure we can meet our obligations to our patients and their families.

The Cancer Support Group (MABS) Mazarrón offer:-
Ø Transport to and from hospital/clinic appointments
Ø Translators
Ø Patient escorts to hospital and clinic appointments
Ø Support and befriending to patients and their families
Ø Leaflets on various types of cancer and treatments available
Ø Information on where you can obtain assistance in Spain and the UK.

So far this year we have made 45 journeys to hospital appointments in Cartegena; Murcia and Alicante with our patients. Our translators have attended an equal number of appointments, as well as making numerous telephone calls to and from medical staff on behalf of our patients. Telephone calls to arrange and organize volunteers are also very expensive.

Our three main expense items are translation fees; telephone and transport costs.
