Mazarrón FC continued to progress up the Tercera Division table despite another home defeat in October against a team struggling towards the bottom of the league; 2-1 at home to UD Los Garres. This was followed by a run of three consecutive wins which took Mazarrón up to fifth in the league; just one point and one position from a play-off place.

Two of the victories were in difficult away games against Lorca, second in the league at that stage and Aguilas an established Tercera Division team. Mazarrón went into the Lorca game without leading scorer Dani Barrelis who was serving his second suspension of the season.

Manager Juanjo brought in the ‘six feet two inches’ striker Musoni who had joined Mazarrón at the start of the season from Belgian Club Hoger Op Wolvertem. Musoni had only joined at the end of pre-season training and it took him a while to get up to match fitness, but he certainly took his chance at the Lorca game scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win. He retained his place the following week at Aguilas with Dani Barrelis named on the substitutes’ bench and Musoni was again on the scoresheet along with Asensio as Mazarrón came back from a goal down to win 2-1. Musoni made it three goals in three games as he was on target in Mazarrón’s 2-1 home win over Huercal-Overa and was chosen as the Los Amigos de Mazarrón FC Man of the Match for the third week running. Mazarrón again had to come back from a one goal deficit with the winning goal coming from substitute Jose Augustin with his first touch of the game. It also proved to be his only goal for Mazarrón as he announced after the game that he was leaving the Club. He had made only one start, in the opening game of the season and six appearances as a substitute and wanted regular football so it was an understandable decision. Manager Juanjo praised his professionalism and dedication during his time at the Club and wished him well for the future.

Los Amigos de Mazarrón FC organise a coach to most away games and coach tickets can be booked at the weekly meetings for members (8€) and non-members (12€).
