HAH Christmas Dinner Dance A Resounding Success
Saturday November 28th at 7.30pm was the time for the start of the 2nd HAH Dinner Dance which was held at the fabulous 525 hotel in Los Alcazares and what a night!

hah 20151128 203354As always this event was SOLD OUT very early and although another table was added on, we still had a waiting list, so sorry to those that were disappointed!

An excellent 3 course dinner with glass of wine was served very efficiently and quickly by the 525 team and then it was time to dance!

hah 20151128 214331The Campoverde Reef Band (a great band who do so much for charity) soon had many up dancing and what a lovely picture. The ladies looked stunning in their beautiful dresses and the men very smart in lounge or dinner suits, along with ceremonial dress and a couple of kilts. Such a variety of music and although there were a few ‘smoochies’ the floor was absolutely packed when the jives etc. were played.
During a quick break, the raffle was drawn, tickets having been sold earlier by the great HAH volunteers and there were some great prizes, many of which were donated by local businesses. Thank you all for your support. A fabulous portrait photo of John Lennon, taken by the well-known celebrity photographer, Bill Zygmant was auctioned and raised a staggering 310€; the raffle raising a further 1,280€.

Lesley Eburne, HAH founder/organiser, said “We have such a great following for our events, great venues, music and value, and we at HAH are all so proud of what we achieve.” Thanking the Reef Band, Manuela Lopez (525), the hotel staff and the fantastic hard-working HAH volunteers, she acknowledged that the success was also due to the continued support of local businesses and supporters.

November Sun For HAH At The Oasis Bulevar

hah Xmas1We expected rain but the sun shone for the HAH Craft Fayre at the Oasis Bulevar, on Sunday November 22nd. As always there was a great turnout and lots of stalls to choose from. HAH had plenty on offer, including homemade cakes, cards, nearly new clothes, crafts, gifts, raffle and tombola and we raised a fantastic 989€ on the day.

hah xmas2Along with this, Shoe Amor, Beauty Box, La Claras Patchwork Ladies, (raising funds for AECC), Colin, Preeva Jewellery, Tara, Butterfly Home Furnishings, Sandie, Telitec and Conchi gifts all had stalls.

Thanking everyone for coming along in support, Lesley Eburne, HAH founder and organiser said “I can’t thank all the stall holders and businesses on the Oasis enough for their support, especially Pilar & Jose from Luisine’s, but most of all, the hardworking HAH Volunteers from the youngest Molly, to the rest of us well into our 60’s and 70’s.

These Volunteers work tirelessly to raise the funds so our Care Team and Professional Nurses, Physios, Counsellors, Chiropodist etc can continue to help so many people in the Mar Menor/Los Alcazares area following illness, hospitalisation etc. Last year alone, 2,400 hours were worked by our Fund Raising and Care Teams, which is no mean feat with only 35 active Volunteers. Well done and thank you to all of you!

Come on now, make a New Year’s Resolution to help one of the local charities, who are all struggling. As little as an hour a week will make such a difference to the charity and it is very rewarding work. Contact helpathome@gmail.com who will be delighted to welcome you on board, especially those with care experience.

We hope to see you all again in the New Year.
