Forget Me Not meets every Monday morning from 10.30am-1.30pm at the Social Centre, Camposol B. They aim to offer free respite care for carers of people with Alzheimer’s /Dementia, or any other long term illness.  Why not pop along and meet the team on any Monday morning for a cup of tea and an informal chat? We will be happy to welcome you.

We encourage carers to enjoy some time to themselves knowing that the person that they care for is in capable and qualified hands.  Our service is free thanks to the generosity of local individuals and groups that have donated and raised funds for Forget Me Not over the years. We thank everyone who has donated in any way to this small but essential group.

During his visit to Camposol in October the Mayor, Gaspar Miras Lorente paid Forget Me Not a visit.  It was a pleasure to meet him and to explain how our facility helps so many people locally.

We have many fund raising events during the next days:

The first on 2nd November is a Golf Tournament in aid of Forget Me Not, FAST and MABS. This will be held at the Camposol Club De Golf. Thank you to all the organisers and players.

On Friday 8th November at 8pm there will be a Quiz Night at the Golf Club Camposol. The evening is being organised by Betty and Lloyd Roberts of the Camposol Golf Associaton with the proceeds of the evening being donated between Forget Me Not and Age Concern. Thank you for thinking of us once again! Good luck to all the competitors!

We have all enjoyed our Monday mornings throughout the steamy summer and have many more interesting and fun mornings planned. We are having a themed Guy Fawkes morning on 4th November with the addition of delicious food being delivered.

Our Jumble Sales will carry on taking place on the first Saturday of each month with the next one being held on Saturday 2nd November at the Social Centre, Camposol B from 10.15am-12.30pm. We look forward to seeing you grab a bargain.

As our client numbers are always growing, we are in need of more volunteers. No experience is necessary; just an understanding of dementia, empathy and a smile.  We have fully qualified nurses to chat to you and give you support.
