The district of Ifre-Pastrana begins this Thursday, July 25, its patron saint festivities in honour of Santiago Apostle. The events begin at 7.30pm with the mass and floral offering to the patron on his day, which will be followed by the procession of the saint through various places of the district. From 10pm, a trovera night will take place with Pedro Cardoso I, Cardoso II, Antonio ‘El Andaluz’, ‘El Niño de Archena’ and guitarist Tomás García.

On Friday, July 26, scheduled activities will begin at 9 pm with dance schools ‘De Rosa’ and ‘Juan Antonio Iglesias’ performing at 10.30pm . The day will end at midnight with a contest of “migas” for which the festival commission will distribute flour, oil and wine among the participants.

On Saturday, July 27, the events will begin with a children’s foam party starting at 8pm and a football championship between the locals. At 10.30pm, flamenco and rumba will be the highlight with a performance from the group ‘Al relente’, which will be followed by more party and music from several local DJs.

The festivities will end on Sunday July 28 with a day full of activities that will begin at 11am with a concentration of classic motorcycles. At 2pm there will be a giant paella for all attendees and at 4pm is musical bingo with important prizes. At 7.30pm mass will be held in honour of Santiago Apóstol, which will be followed by motorcycle racing.

On Sunday night, starting at 10.30pm, the performance of singer Maribel Castillo is scheduled. Throughout this evening we will proceed to the election of Miss and Mister Visitors and the awards ceremony for the different competitions and championships, which will end these traditional celebrations.
