If you have to call for an ambulance, call 112 and the operator will ask a series of questions so they can prioritise your call. You can ask for an operator to speak in your language if you do not speak Spanish. Then call FAST on 968 9706 26

CST/FAST is a fully legally registered and insured charity whose sole purpose is to serve the emergency medical needs of everyone who lives or visits Camposol or Saladillo.

If you live on Mazarrón Country Club or Condado de Alhama, you can call the FASTemergency number for advice over the phone. Unfortunately we cannot attend at this time.

FASThas been recognised by the British Consulate, the British Embassy in Madrid and the Murcian Health Authority for the work we carry out on Camposol. All Responders and Instructors are volunteers who give their time freely.

FAST is always looking of ways to raise much needed funds. We had a very expensive October as we had to purchase the ‘shed’ for storage and we trained new solo Responders and Trainers. The training has to be verified by outside agencies, which is where the costs mount up. We had an end of season 1970’s night at Cat’s bar where several people dressed in clothes of that era. We also had the Halloween Nurses on the dual carriageway on the last Monday before Halloween.

Sadly it seems a growing trend to abuse the emergency services when reacting to an emergency.

FAST has experienced several occasions where our Responders have been verbally abused. We will not tolerate harassment or verbal abuse. If presented with this situation we will have no option but to call for Police assistance so that we can provide the emergency treatment.

Why not join FAST as a supporter or responder?

You will meet friendly people and become part of a social team as well. Social events are arranged during the year.

We ran a training course early in November for six new First Responders and they all passed and will soon be on duty.  All training is provided free of charge. Once trained you will become a First Responder, which is a higher skill level than a First Aider. Our training sessions are Tuesday mornings at the Social Centre, Camposol B.

We are very pleased to welcome new members to FAST. If you would like to join this great organisation give us a call. You can help your neighbours on Camposol and maybe save a life. It is a great way to give something back to the community.

When the FAST Responders arrive they will ask a series of questions, directed at the casualty or the partner. It may seem to delay treatment, but it is important to know if the casualty is allergic to anything, what medication they are on, or are they being treated for a medical condition.

Please be patient when the Responder is asking questions.
