CST/FAST is a group of volunteers based on Camposol, Mazarrón. Our purpose is to attend medical emergencies on Camposol before the emergency services arrive. We also attend if the call does not require an ambulance. We provide information and support to the patient and family. This service is just one of the community activities that operate on Camposol.

FAST was called out 17 times in June resulting in 9 ambulances being called. The FAST Responders provided comfort and support to family and friends whilst waiting for the arrival of the ambulance teams. Since FAST was formed in 2011 they have attended over 1,000 calls for help.

Our legal advisor Mercedes Borchert of Viva House has been very busy on our behalf over the last 12 months. We would like to thank her for all her hard work on our behalf. We would also like to thank Vinny from Another World Properties, the Welcome Group and Paul and Jenny Evans for their very generous donations.

On the minus side, the VW Caddy number 1 FAST car has cost around €1,000 this month for mechanical repairs.

On 4th July CST/FAST organised a Trip To Benidorm & The Valor Chocolate Factory. It was a great success and everyone enjoyed the day.

CST/FAST Autumn Ball – 22nd September at the Costa Hotel, Mazarrón Town. This promises to be a grand affair with a chance to dress up and have a good time and support this great charity. We are always looking for new team members and supporters to help raise funds to finance this service, so if you can give a few hours to sell raffle tickets or be a fundraiser in any way, you will be made most welcome. There is always a cup of tea or coffee on the go Tuesday mornings.

The FAST nurses are on the dual carriageway on Monday mornings, so give them a wave.  Any donation is gladly accepted. We would like to thank the businesses, residents and visitors to Camposol for their generosity. It is only with this support that we can provide this valuable service to the community

When we take the coins to the bank we are charged about 25% of the sum paid in, so we try not to pay coins in too often.
