During October, the Maintenance Team have continued weeding, cleaning and spraying our whole sector. The more settled autumnal weather of sunny days, cooler nights and dewy mornings means the weeds grow faster! Our team has also cleared, strimmed and cut back the planted borders as they became very overgrown during the Summer.
We welcome back Ken to our Wednesday group of Volunteers, who have been carrying out the usual extensive weeding, watering and planting up collected plants donated by residents. Yet more overgrown palms, trees and shrubs have been trimmed and the kerbstones at the Welcome Wall have been painted white to help visibility for night-time motorists – all this strenuous work is rewarded with a free breakfast, so if you would like to join our group of Wednesday Volunteers, either regularly or occasionally, please contact us or just turn up at the Welcome Wall at 9.00am. Help improve your area even more and make new friends in the process!
The whole area is looking really great after the efforts of those hard workers. We love donations of shrubs/ plants which have outgrown their space in your gardens and will happily come to collect and plant them in a position where they can grow on for all to enjoy.
We are decorating our Green Fingers Remembrance Garden this month, ready for November 11th and if anyone would like to remember a loved one, poppy crosses are available from John Osborne at the number below. Please note, only crosses bought via Green Fingers as part of the legitimate Poppy Appeal will be allowed in this garden.
Please take a look at our Facebook groups: Green Fingers Camposol or Camposol C Sector Group and check chalkboards for more information or contact John our Chairman on 634 325 427
