From everyone here at AAR we would like to wish all our readers and supporters a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2019.

Great things are going to happen with AAR this year and I am so excited for the continued development at La Paca. Watch out for monthly updates, or keep an eye on our FB page.

Two of Dulcie pups on their journey to the UK. Good luck sweethearts.

There were eleven in the bed and the little puppy said roll over, roll over!  Eleven new born puppies were in the care of AAR during the months of October and November.  We are very happy to report that Dulce’s 7 little darlings have all been rehomed and the remaining 4 puppies which were abandoned near my house at approximately 4 weeks old are doing really well.

We have also taken on the sweetest boy and we have named him Enrique.  He is a donkey who was at the Pererra in Murcia with injuries to both his front and hind legs, covered in burns and quite a sorry state.  These injuries were caused whilst in the Pererra.  The staff are not sure how, but when they arrived one morning they found him with a damaged nerve in his front leg.  It was quite bad, but he is responding well to treatment.

A big thank you to The Clover Bar, Condado for holding a raffle and auction on our behalf.   All funds raised will go towards the building of stables at La Paca.  The sooner they are built, the sooner the donkeys can go to their new home and have lots of open space and roomy paddocks.

I felt very honoured to be asked by St Nicholas Church on Camposol to bring one of our donkeys to their Christmas Eve Service. Lola was the chosen one and she entered the church to the carol ‘Little Donkey’.  My beautiful Lola you did us proud and I had a tear in my eye.

It was great to see everybody at our annual Christmas mulled wine and mince pie event.  Little Man and Sabenero enjoyed their outing and were on good form.

Sponsoring a donkey, pony, horse or dog makes a great gift.  For a minimum donation of £5/5€ a month, you will receive a welcome pack with a free gift, details of your chosen animal, up to date information on AAR and every 6 months an update with photos.  Sponsoring an animal really helps us with their day to day running costs and means so much to us.  When La Paca is up and running you will then be able to come and visit them and help feed and groom them too.

We have got lots of furniture in our shops in Roldan and Mazarrón Town; from dining tables and chairs to sofas, beds, mattresses, occasional and TV tables and lots of accessories too; pictures, lamps, ornaments and much more!  Keep an eye on our Facebook page too as the 1€ clothing sale will be making a return.

As usual I will be at the Car Park, Camposol B on Mondays from 11.30am-1pm to collect any unwanted clothes, furniture, bric-a-brac, books, cd’s, jewellery and I usually have one or two companions with me.  Otherwise we welcome donations at our shops in Roldan and Mazarrón Town from 10.30am-1.30pm.
